Covering twenty of Northumberland's most haunted locations, Ghostly Northumberland includes classic, and recent, ghost stories and actual eye witness accounts. In august 2007 I signed a contract with the largest publisher of local history books in the UK, Sutton Publishing, to write 'Ghostly Northumberland', a book chronicling the history, and the haunting, of twenty locations. Including:

I managed to talk to the people who own, and work at, some of these places, and the book contains eye witness reports, in their own words, of their experiences at some of these locations. As well as the staff and owners, professional monster hunter Jon Downes of the Centre for Fortean Cryptozoology contributed to my Beast of Bolam Lake chapter, and TV ghost hunter and presenter, Jason Karl, best known for programmes such as Diana - Spirit of a Princess, Ghost Hunters, and of course Most Haunted, agreed to write a piece for my Chillingham Castle chapter, and was also kind enough to write the foreword for my book.

The book contains over fifty photographs of the locations that feature, with the vast majority of these photos being taken by the author.
